Elf on the Law Library Shelf
Dec 02, 2014
It’s that time of year where getting online will probably cause you to encounter images of an elf in strange and even comical situations- why is that? The Elf on the Shelf has become a Christmas tradition for many families. In short, this elf comes from the North Pole as a scout to keep an eye on children’s naughty and nice behavior, each night he flies back to the North Pole to give Santa a full report. The fun part comes when children wake up and search for the elf, usually finding him in curious situations. You can learn the story behind the elf and the tradition from the accompanying book if you adopt your own elf.
Last year we adopted our own elf and since have named him Elfie. Knowing full well that sometimes adults are more misbehaved than children he came to serve as a Santa spy on law library staff and patrons! Friend us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter or Pinterest and join in on the holiday fun as we find Elfie in mischievous situations as he explores our libraries. You may learn a little more about our resources and maybe even our staff all while getting a little laugh. Show Elfie some love!
