Palm Springs Law Library: Now Open!
March 30, 2026
Mostly associated with green, luck, and libations, March 17th marks the annual celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. But for the Riverside County Law Library, it wasn’t just another year of pinching and shamrocks.
The Desert Branch, now known as the Palm Springs Law Library, had its Grand Opening on Tuesday, March 17th in the courtyard of the Palm Springs Courthouse. The library’s Board President John Boyd opened the event with a speech, thanking all the parties involved for their efforts in helping with the reopening of the desert branch.
Those in attendance were Palm Springs Courthouse staff, members of the Bar, board members, and Riverside County Law Library staff. Everyone had the opportunity to grab some specially made glasses, bookmarks, and cookies to enjoy.
Taking the same giant red scissors that once reopened the Victor Miceli Law Library, Judge Michael Martin did the honor of cutting the ribbon, marking the official Grand Reopening of the Riverside County Law Library Desert Branch.
