RCLL's LW17 Legal Clinic

Library Week is a time to celebrate libraries. In addition to the programs we offer, and the resources we provide, one thing many Riversidians look forward to every year is the Legal Clinic the RCLL hosts during National Library Week.
This years' Legal Clinic was a little different in that our Riverside, Indio and Temecula branches all held clinics at their own locations. We had a total of 60 patrons participate in these clinics, as well as 16 attorneys. The areas of law covered by the attorneys ranged from family law, civil, estate planning, employment, disability, etc.
This type of success would not be possible without the support of local bar associations, including the Southwest Riverside County Bar Association, Desert Bar Association, and the Riverside County Bar Association. I also want to give a special thank you to the Inland Empire Latino Lawyers Association. I needed a few last minute attorneys to cover for our Riverside branch’s clinic and they stepped up to help out.
To show how important these clinics are to the public, we offer surveys to those who participate in our clinics. All the surveys came back positive. People expressed gratitude for the services offered by the law library and were happy to have the opportunity to talk to a local attorney about their legal issues, and we were happy to see such satisfied patrons.
Thank you to all those who participated, and we hope to see you again next year!
