Search CEB Pro from home!

Fri, 22/05/2020 - 05:00
CEB (Continuing Education of the Bar) is offering remote access to CEB Pro, so you can still search primary law and CEB guides while working from home. CEB Pro includes access to primary law, CEB’s citator, TrueCite™, and access to over 150 of CEB’s practice guides. CEB Pro was developed for solo attorneys and small firms but can meet your legal needs during this unprecedented time. The homepage of CEB Pro displays recent articles on relevant topics like the CARES act and gun shop closures. The citator shows cases cited using colors to differentiate status. You cannot save files directly, but you have unlimited printing.
To sign up for remote access, you would go to our library’s website which also has a guide showing the steps to access remotely. You will gain remote access in about 24 hours after signing up. You will receive two emails from CEB.
The library staff continue to have access to CEB Onlaw to meet your legal needs. If you need to clarify a proof of service, or learn about an informal discovery request then CEB guides are a great place to start. You can fill out a reference request form and library staff can search the full text CEB practice and action guides in 11 topics and email a few results to you. CEB guides provide California legal commentary, analysis, and attorney drafted forms.
We remain committed to providing free and open remote access to the law and legal resources during this challenging time.
